Oliver started solid food this week, rice cereal, and he was such a champ! By day 3 or 4 he was licking the bowl clean. That doesn't mean he won't make wince of a face for almost every bite, but he keeps opening his mouth for more. We're so excited to try new foods next week!
There are definitely some top teeth on the way. Last night Oliver only slept a total of 5 hours (which means I slept even less) Ben has been getting up too, (and had to twist my arm to give up my crying baby) but Oliver just wouldn't sleep. Poor guy really seems to be in pain.
On a brighter note, Oliver is loving reading...and when I say loving, I mean every book, everyday, 8 times a day. If we lay out a bunch of things on the floor: toys, teddies, books...he will turn and roll towards the books. He loves books with animals, baby's faces, and anything with surprises hiding behind paper flaps.
It seems like Oliver has discovered that his hands have separate fingers that move independently when he wiggles them. I find him holding his hands in front of his face and examining each finger one by one. His favorite game this week is drawing in the condensation on the window and watching the droplets run down to the sill. It is so cool to watch him discover new things with such fascination.
